Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time in Charleston working as a journalist, was a co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor on weekends. O'Dell's current role as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted Miss USA's pageant, as well as the Miss Universe Pageant.
